Description

An interactive guided tour that takes you through Granada’s most iconic neighbourhoods:
El Sacromonte and El Albayzín

What will we do?

SECRETS OF GRANADA
Based on discovery and customer participation, thanks to a series of surprises that you will encounter along the way, making it a truly unique experience.
It starts in San Miguel Alto, where the guide gives a brief introduction to the programme, but without revealing the surprises that will be encountered along the way. From this point, there is an incredible view of Granada and the Sierra Nevada.

Next, there is an easy 15-minute descent along a footpath that leads to the upper part of Sacromonte, where you can enjoy an unusual and very surprising view of the Alhambra.
The tour continues at the Cuevas del Sacromonte Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Sacromonte neighbourhood, experience what it is like to live underground and learn about the origins of flamenco.

The visit continues at the Sacromonte Cave Museum, where you can immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Sacromonte neighbourhood, experience what it is like to live underground, and learn about the origins of flamenco and the roots and culture of the gypsy people.

A flamenco recital, accompanied by views of the Alhambra, captivates our group, at which point customers are served sangria and enjoy a very special moment.

After the stop, the route continues along the En Medio path, a characteristic route that runs through the Sacromonte neighbourhood with the Alhambra in front of it, where we observe the daily life of the people of Sacromonte.

The route continues until we reach the Albayzín, where clients arrive at María’s bakery, where they enjoy a tasting of tea and/or lemonade and traditional sweets made there and where they begin to ‘experience’ the bustle of the neighbourhood.

After visiting the bakery, we visit the Plaza Larga market and, passing through the famous Arco de Las Pesas, we arrive at the Mirador de San Nicolás, where we pause to contemplate the views and enjoy the unique atmosphere.

Optionally, after the exceptional views from the Mirador de San Nicolás, it is possible to take an “exclusive visit” to a private Carmen that perfectly preserves the classic elements of these dwellings.

The descent to the centre of Granada takes us through the Calderería, the Arab souk and the street of tea shops, where it is difficult to resist the temptation to stop at the craft stalls. The route ends at Plaza Nueva, in the heart of Granada.
