- In the vicinity of Puerto de La Ragua, at 1,700 metres above sea level and in the heart of the Sierra Nevada National Park, lies Arroyo del Palancón. This short ravine, notable for its slides and abseils of up to 11 metres, is very easy to access and return from, making it a favourite with families and large groups, as it is a canyoning experience suitable for all profiles and ages.

Granada Geopark, is carved out of slate and schist, reflecting the typical geomorphology of this privileged natural landscape.

ITINERARY
At 9 a.m. or 4 p.m., we will meet at the meeting point, very close to the head of the river. We will equip ourselves with the necessary gear for canyoning in the Arroyo del Palancón and start walking towards the starting point of this adventure.
We will walk through the heart of the Sierra Nevada National Park until we reach the Arroyo del Palancón ravine. We will explain the safety rules that you must follow throughout the activity, and then the fun will begin.
We will start sliding down the walls of the ravine, admiring the contrast between the dark tones of the rocks and the green moss and ferns that grow on them. A truly beautiful spot.
What’s more, while we’re canyoning in the Palancón stream, we’ll cool off in the small waterfalls in this area and come across fun natural slides. An exciting water park in the middle of nature!
We’ll finish the activity after 4-5 hours, saying goodbye at the starting point.
